Chris Price has held senior roles in the music, radio, TV and streaming sectors for twenty years.

He programmed music at the world’s most influential youth network BBC Radio 1, before leaving to lead the UK music strategy for MTV’s portfolio of ten channels until 2010. After a spell in the US he returned to the UK to lead music strategy for leading internet radio service Last.fm.

He founded 'New Slang Media’, a music strategy consultancy where he worked with radio and streaming clients at the collision course of broadcast and webcast music media. As a consultant he has advised on music strategy for clients including the BBC, BT, the UN, USAID, MixRadio, Vevo and Warner Music.  

 In February 2016, Chris was appointed to the influential role as Head of Music for BBC Radio 1.
