Peter Niegel (47) is a Senior Audience Researcher in The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) He has a Master’s degree in Media Science from Aarhus University and a Master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Aarhus Business School, Denmark.

He has been working for DR since 2000 as a qualitative audience researcher and is today among the leading audience researchers in Europe. He has been presenting on several national and international conferences and some of the work includes the Undercover Agent-study that reduced the listener tuneout to news in Denmark, the classical musical analysis that found the “formula” for listener appreciation of classical music, “the Attention Span of Radio Audiences”, “The “micro-formating of radioformats” and the building of the “Radiobank” – an interactive bank of the most succesfull and innovative radioformats in the world

Peter is moreover a member of the program committee for Radio Days Europe.
